Sisters and Brothers: have you heard the story of a little girl named Al`brah?

Posted by admin

(MashaAllah her recitation of Qur’an is beautiful)

AssalamuAlaikum Warahmatullaha Wabarakatahu

I just want it to share this with you…. when you think that your problems in this world are so huge, remind yourself of those less fortunate than yourself who are grateful for all the blessings they have been given.

Make du’a please for this wonderful girl.

This story is of a little girl named Bar`ah who is 10 years old, her parents were doctors who moved to Saudi Arabia in search of better life. At this age, Bar`ah memorized the whole Quran with tajweed, she was very intelligent, her teacher use to tell her she should be in middle school not primary school.

Her family was small and committed to Islam and its teachings…. suddenly one day the mother started feeling sever abdominal pain, after tests and checkups she found out that she has cancer, but in its late stages. The mother thought she should tell her daughter, specially if she wakes up one day and didn’t find her mother beside her… so she told her: “Bar`ah I will go to paradise ahead of you, but I want you to read the Quran you memorized every day since it will protect you in this life…”

The little girl didn’t really understand what her mother was trying to tell her… but she started feeling the change in her mother’s status, especially when she was transferred to stay in hospital on a permanent bases. The little girl use to come to the hospital after her school and recite the Quran for her mother till the evening when her father used to take her home.

One day the hospital called the husband and informed him that the his wife’s condition was very bad and he needed to come as fast as he can, so the father picked Bar`ah from her school and headed to the hospital, when they arrived he asked her to stay in the car… so that she wouldn’t get shocked if her mother passed away.

The father got out of his car, with tears filled in his eyes and while crossing the road to enter the hospital, he was hit by a speeding car and died in front of his daughter who came crying to her father…!

The tragedy of Bar`ah is not over yet… the news of her father’s death was hidden from the mother, but after 5 days the mother passed away leaving Bar`ah alone in this life. She become alone without her parents, and her parents’ friends decided to find her relatives in Egypt so that they can take care of her.

Suddenly, Bar`ah started having sever pain like her mother, after a few tests and checkups it was confirmed it was cancer… at the surprise of every one she said: “Alhamdu Lillah, now I will meet my parents.”

All of the family friends were shocked and surprised, this little girl being faced with calamity after calamity and she is patient and satisfied with what Allah ordained for her! People started hearing about Bar`ah and her story, and a Saudi decided to take care of her… he sent her to the UK for treatment of this disease.

One of the Islamic channels (Al Hafiz – The protector) got in contact with this little girl and asked her to recite the Quran… and this is her beautiful voice with recitation…

They contacted her again before she went into a coma and she made dua for her parents and sang a nasheed…

The days passed by and the cancer spread all over her body, the doctors decided to amputate her legs, and she is patient and satisfied with Allah’s ordains… after a few days the CANCER spread to her brain, upon which doctors decided for another urgent brain surgery… and now her body is in a UK hospital in full COMA…

So pray for her health and speedy recovery…

Another recitation…

How to Achieve a Success in Runet? Invest in Search Engine Marketing!

Posted by admin

Many people say that search engines are the future of the business. If your company is not present on search engine ranking pages, most probably this will have a major influence on the profits, awareness and competitiveness. We search for business partners, suppliers and services in different ways and languages all over the world. These who are interested in the Eastern Europe market should have necessary pieces of information how to effectively reach through Internet their potential customers e.g. in Russia.

This article presents a summary of how the Russian (the fastest growing population of internauts all over the world according to comScore World Metrix, Jan 2007) look for information. It also explains the advantages of a good exposure in search engine listings in the Russian search engines.

Searching activity in the Russian Internet (known also as Runet) is concentrated in 4 major search engines. These are:

Yandex.ru – with 48,4% of market share;Google – 28,6%;Rambler.ru – 15,9%;Mail.ru – 4,7%;

The other players (Yahoo, MSN, Aport, Meta Bot, Alta Vista and others) take the rest of the market, according to SpyLOG Feb / Mar 2007 stats – http://gs.spylog.ru/r/?reportId=7&categoryId=1.

Business promotes itself in Russia

As a result of intense development of Runet, not only the local SMBs spend money on PPC campaigns but also both international companies of the same size as well as big multinational businesses like General Motors, Nissan, Peugeot, Honda and Sony. In case of these companies, yearly advertising budget is between $1.5 mln – $3.5 mln with up to 50% of it being spent on search engine advertising in Yandex.ru.

Search Engine Marketing on the top

Due to the great interest among advertisers, 2006 expenses on search engine promotion in the Russian Internet grew by 150% comparing to year 2005 and reached $110 million. Thus, search engine advertising has beaten banner advertising (with $100 million spendings) first time ever. This should be a very important signal for all the companies which promote themselves online, that SEM activity (a mix of technology and words which allows to reach now more than 90% of internet users) is an optimum way of the promotion (Lenta.ru – http://lenta.ru/news/2007/02/12/advert/).

Optimum costs of promotion

The minimum price for a single click (CPC) in Yandex.ru varies from (depending on the industry) $0.50 (“stickers”) to $5.00 (“refridgerators”). In Begun.ru one can pay $4.00 (“cash terminals”), $5.70 (“sight correction”), $5.90 (“companies registration”) and even $6.20 for “company closure”. The highest prices ($9.99) are paid for targeted campaigns which take into account very precise parameters, geolocation and time restrictions. You can compare this to $1550 – $5000 prices of one week banner campaign on popular Russian portals (according to http://www.context.1ps.ru).

Investing money in paid listings should be then cheaper and undoubtedly more efficient. When talking about banners, one pays for impressions, not users’ interest measured by clicks and actions taken on the advertiser’s website. The opposite payment model is assigned to sponsored links – payment is made only for users interested in products and services who click and visit the website.

Competition among advertisers

The highest prices in Yandex.Direct (http://www.direct.yandex.ru) are related to B2B activity, where just one transaction (no matter if it is selling a drilling rig or Boeing) per year make a single click with CPC of $48.00 affordable. Apart from above-mentioned B2B examples, the most competitive areas of interest are flats’ sale in the modern block of flats, airplane rentals, Forex stock exchange and building industry services.

Why Yandex?

Coming back to the most important search engine in Russia… Yandex – not very well organized in late ‘90s, now is the leader of search engines in Runet. The company put an emphasis on contextual advertising and doubled its revenues last year, becoming even stronger player at the market. The management estimates that this year’ income from search-related advertising should be close to $100 million. At present, 25 million people use Yandex with 5 million of unique users every day. On the contrary, tens of thousands of companies conduct their promotional activity through this search engine. The constantly growing audience of Yandex makes more advertisers interested in both search engine optimization (being well exposed in organic listings) and PPC marketing (paid listings). They seem to make the right decision as the results come very quickly because of modern character of Yandex. Since 2005 it has had two advertising systems, comparable to Google AdWords and AdSense (according to Yandex official blog – http://company.yandex.ru/blog/).

Cheap listing better than expensive banner impression

Lew Glejzer, the director of AdWatsh advertising agency predicts that expenses on search engine marketing in 2007 will go over $200 million in total. All innovative companies that think about future take seriously into account paid listings – adds Dmitrij Wasiljew, Link.ru director. The banners are becoming more expensive and will probably be exclusively used by large companies while search engine marketing is affordable for SMBs as well.

“Key” keywords

In order to be completely successful one need to use precisely defined keywords – the ones which are both relevant to company business profile and are frequently used by people in queries made in search engines. The most popular queries between Dec 2006 and Feb 2007 were: papers (proceedings), desktop wallpapers, horoscope, postcards, weather, games, news, mp3, proverbs, dates, mobile phones, recipes, friendships, music, anecdotes, jobs, cars, predictions, sex, erotics, map of Moscow, chat, samsung d500, kamasutra, flats, photos, nokia, football, russian radio, lyrics, motorization, porno, pregnancy, Aeroflot (according to SpyLOG stats – http://gs.spylog.ru/r/?reportId=8&categoryId=1). Maybe this will be an inspiration for somebody when planning a PPC campaign on, let’s say, Yandex…

Who can see the advertisement?

Most of them are the Russian people – 44.4%, but the advertisement can be also presented to the Americans (14.5%), Ukrainians (4.7%) and Germans (3.5%) not to mention others. That is why search engine marketing in Russia gives the opportunities to reach people from different parts of the world. When talking about the Russian cities, there is one strong leader – the capital (Moscow) with 44% and other cities like Sankt-Petersburg (10.1%) or Jekaterynburg (2.6%), according to SpyLOG stats (http://gs.spylog.ru/rsu/?categoryId=1).

What are the benefits of search engine marketing?

Search engines are responsible for a significant traffic share on Russian websites. This is the result of good exposure in organic listings as well as paid listings activity conducted by Russian companies. The examples below present some traffic statistics on different sectors in the Runet in Nov 2006 (SpyLog stats http://gs.spylog.ru/tcu/5/preView/274.html).

Runet + SEM = SUCCESS

By spending money on search engine marketing in Runet one can create new opportunities, particularly in the commerce area. The advertising activity in Russian search engines gives the possibility for all companies focused on the international trade (both exporters and importers) to be present on this big market in order to make new business contacts, agreements and increase the revenues. As usually, the first ones will be the winners – that is why we strongly recommend taking into consideration SEM activity in Russia as it may bring significant profits for almost every company.

Strategy Games on Facebook

Posted by admin

This overview will be solely based on Facebook games or social strategy games that can be played only when on Facebook. These games range from strategy to RPG and brings a lot of fun in a compact browser based game. Most of these games here are new and trying to make a name for themselves as good browser based MMO Games. I hope you enjoy.

1.City of Wonder

City of Wonder is a F2P strategy game that is playable via Facebook and has a lot of social options implemented into the game. The game is all about building an empire which is the final destination of players. All players start off with a very small piece of land and must fight their way to the top in a rough battlefield. The game also has the ‘daily bonus’ addition which will make players want to login once a day for that special reward. Players will advance through the stages of history, from the Stone Age to the Modern Age while fighting against other players for territory and control of land. Combat is very important in this game, especially PVP, as players will fight for land, resources and simply fame. The economy is very balanced in this game and players trade with each other very well, allowing for a good environment. Research is common in strategy games and City of Wonder does not lag behind as players can research new technology and get major upgrades to their armies and buildings. City of Wonder is a unique strategy game that is worth a try.

2.Trzz Online: Fame and Fortune

Trzz Online steers away from the other typical browser based games by making a celebrity styles social games where players will perform in live events and concerts to get fame and fortune. This game stands out in the rest for its uniqueness and is a real Role Playing Game. The game is based on the player becoming a star in the world. Players will begin at the bottom of the world, playing in small events until they earn enough experience to get a signing of a lifetime and move up into the big industry. Leveling is not a hassle in this game and is very fun as players will do gigs and earn levels quickly. Just like in real life, when players earn enough money, they can spend it on their house and buy a new one or upgrade their old one. Players can also form ‘entourages’ by inviting friends and earning special points. Players can also buy expensive cars and the top of the line clothing from stores in the game. Trzz Online is a new type of game that hasn’t really been explored yet and if your into these kind of games, make sure to try it out.

3.Expedition Egypt

In Expedition Egypt, players explore the world and attempt to conquer others to have total control over Egypt. Players must defeat even their closest friends in their path for glory and raid ancient temples in guilds or groups. Raiding these temples give players a lot of fun and excitement as the enemies will drop lost and precious treasure which will make a big difference in obtaining your goal. One nice thing about Expedition Egypt, is that the maps and locations are based on the real Egypt such as the Gaza, the Nile River and Cairo. Players will also be raiding enemy camps in hearty and fun PVP to steal their loot and put them out of the race for the survival. Meanwhile your army is raiding, you must also ensure that you are consistently getting resources and building up your empire into the best that there is. Overall, Expedition Egypt does not have a new concept, but the setting that the game is in, will make it unique.

4.PriestVille

PriestVille is a new type of MMO which will steer most gamers off initially but is actually a very nice social MMO where players will team up and attempt to become Priests in Catholicism. Players will have five skills to manage and once they achieve top rank in each skill, they will graduate and become a priest. Parishioners helps with the basics of being a priest and self esteem gives your priest hope and faith. Energy is basically strength and brain power grants your character intellect. Indulgences helps players by giving them special bonuses, used in helping others. The game has done very well in trying to fit in with other MMOs and I think it has accomplished this. Overall, PriestVille might be a new game and a game that players may think is boring, but it is worth a try.

5.CityVille

CityVille is considered the newest game in Zynga’s gaming dynasty of Facebook games. The company recently surveyed people and most of them liked to build cities and empire and Zynga gave them CityVille, which seems to be the new kid on the block. The game is extremely popular in Asia, hitting around 12 million players in its peak times. In CityVille, players must begin to build up their empire and construct cities all over the world. Players will fight for turf and resources and attempt to be number one by having either the biggest city or the most resources. Zynga has a lot of ‘Ville’ games but CityVille is considered to be on the best and players should try it out so they can get a feeling of one of the best browser based games around.
